Sephora Favorites: Sunkissed Glow Review

If you have not tried the kits from Sephora, I highly suggest that you do! Time after time, Sephora will come out with these "Favorites" kits which will include various items and most of the time, full sized items!

One of Sephora's most recently launched favorites kits is "Sunkissed Glow" which really screams summer!

At first, I was hesitant on picking up this kit D:
 But once I looked more into what the kit had to offer and watching other people talk about it, I was hooked!

Here is the front of the packaging, which previews all that you will be receiving :D It is also marked as a $150 value, but you will only be paying $45 for this beauty <3

When you flip it over, it tells you a bit more about each product such as its name and size. This back side also has a flap that you can lift up to read each of the items ingredients which is pretty nifty ^ - ^

Once you take the cover slip thingymajig off, you are left to awe at this beautiful pouch * 0 * It's so bronzy and just makes me want to bring this with me to the beach! The top half is also amazing, with its' shifts of blue, green, purple, yellow, and pink! Kind of like car oil on the pavement? :P

NOW LET US DIG INTO THIS BAD BOY

This kit contains 9 items, and guess what? You get 3 full sized items.

So, let us talk about those first, shall we?

This kit includes a FULL sized Marc Jacobs Highliner Gel Eye Crayon in "Ro(cocoa)"- $25

And a FULL sized Urban Decay Iconic Eyeshadow in the cult favorite shade "Half Baked" - $19

So it's safe to say your money will be well spent and it's like you're getting $24 off PLUS the other deluxe sample items for free. And by the looks of them, they will last you a very long time.

I also swatched the eyeliner a few hours before (very bottom) to test the wear time and I must say, it has held up pretty nicely, which was expected, even after washing my hands a lot and cleaning my makeup brushes.

Let's look at the highlighters!

This kit provides 3 deluxe sample highlighters. Although the Laura Mercier primer isn't technically a highlighter, it gives a highlighting effect.

I must say that the LM Primer is very dewy. It almost reminds me of the Becca Backlight Priming Filter, which I LOVE! I have been into dewy makeup lately, so I can't wait to try this one out!

I don't know if my camera picked it up ok or not, but the Milk Makeup Liquid Strobe has tiny glitter particles, plus it is very shimmery. I don't know if I could rock it on my face, but I will definitely try it out. I bet it would look pretty on the eyes and body too! :D

The Becca highlighter is something I already own and LOVE! I don't own the full size, just another travel size. I have owned it for way over a year now and I still use it and haven't even hit pan! These deluxe sample sizes may be small, but you would be surprised how much use you can get out of them and for how long.

The BRONZERSSSSS!

This kit will also include 2 deluxe sized powder bronzers which are cult favorites! I am so so happy that they included these because I have been wanting to try these for so long!

I have noticed that this bronzer smells a lot more chocolate-y than the eyeshadow palettes, mmmm <3

The Too Faced bronzer is very nice and is the perfect shade for me, and I thought it wouldn't be since it's labeled  medium/deep which I am nowhere near lol but it turned out pretty nicely on my skin tone and it's not too orange.

The Hourglass bronzer had THE softest and buttery texture of a pressed powder I have ever felt in my life, so no wonder its' price tag on the full size is so high! If you can tell, it has a bit of a shimmer to it, but most of the time the shimmer won't show up on the face. It is a bit more orange than the Too Faced, but with my yellow complexion, I can make warm tone bronzers work.

Final Product

Tarte Brazilliance PLUS+ Self Tanner - 15mL (full sized: 162.6mL, $39 *plus mitt)

I of course did not swatch this product since it is a self tanner lol

But the texture looks like a gel and as far as the scent goes, it really didn't smell like anything. I think this will get you about 1 or 2 full-bodied uses, but I'm not too big on self tanners, so I may just try this out on my face during the summer to make it even with my body since I will be slathering up my face with SPF :P


Overall Review

My overall thoughts on this kit is that it is phenomenal!
Not only are you getting 3 full sized products which exceeds what you pay, but you also get very good sized deluxe sample products that offer you a chance to try out things that you have been wanting to try, or it can help you discover new items that you can grow to love! 10/10 <3
